Joggin for Frogmen 5k San Diego

It was a beautiful sun-burney day in San Diego today!

It was finally the weekend for the Joggin for Frogmen 5k in San Diego at the NTC Park!  I was all set and ready to go with my patriotic RW&B running gear, as usual.

It was a really great run that took us around the park, over the bridge and past the USS Recruit model.

Overall it was a nice flat, easy run around the bay.  I had my best friend of nearly 16 years, Ashley, join me in the run!  This was her first official "race / run" and she did great!

The Joggin For Frogmen event was really special - with a great mission to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, 31 Heroes Project, and Travis Manion Foundation.  The Patriot Parachute Team (lead by a team of former Navy SEALs) attended the event in style!

Overall it was a really great event in a beautiful location with a special mission.  We will definitely be signing up again to run next year.  We all had such a great time and was a great way start the day!

P.S. check out the awesome shirts and medal / magnet / bottle opener!
